Strong, flexible hips and hamstrings contribute to overall balance, alignment, and ease of movement. Yet, contemporary habits, such as prolonged sitting and certain repetitive activities, can challenge the health of our hips and hamstrings, potentially leading to discomfort, muscle imbalances, and limited mobility. In this workshop, we turn our attention to the vital role of these areas in our body, utilising the art and science of yoga.

During this workshop we will delve into the intricate anatomy of the hip joint and hamstrings, understanding their significance in daily movements. We'll learn methods to harmoniously stretch and strengthen, fostering mobility and minimising discomfort. We'll integrate these insights into your yoga practice, ensuring you approach each pose with an informed, hip-and-hamstring-friendly mindset.

About Matt Mulcahy

Matt first discovered yoga over 10 years ago to complement other physical activity like running and swimming, but before long the practice evolved into a regular staple in his life.

Matt specialises in Vinyasa and Restorative yoga, blending together principles of alignment, strength and mindfulness to unlock physical and emotional potential.

His aim is to create educational and accessible teachings to support students of every lineage and background. During his classes, you can expect a practical and down-to-earth approach to yoga that brings together traditional teachings in a modern context.

How do I find Stretch Yoga Holland Park?

Find us at 50 Seville Rd, Holland Park (just next to Radiance Dance Academy) on the corner of Seville Rd and Roscoe St – look out for the beautiful brick building with parallel parks.


Is parking available?

You can find free parking spots right out front and on the streets around the studio!

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a yoga mat (we have a limited amount available for hire).

We do have lots of yoga props available, but if you prefer to use your own, feel free to do so!

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing you can freely move in.
